Hausz, Austin compete at State Finals

Gavin Hausz and Drew Austin both had strong performances at Saturday’s IHSAA State Finals in Bloomington. Hausz, a regional champion in the high jump, equaled his regional height and career best of 6-foot-4. He finished 19th, clearing the height on his final jump. The New Palestine track teams finished eighth Friday at the 28-team Zionsville Invitational. The Dragon girls tallied 44 points and were just 14 points back of fourth place.
