The New Palestine wrestling team dropped its match to Cathedral by a razor-thin 37-36 margin in a matchup of two of the state’s top teams. Wrestlers win at Mooresville

The New Palestine wrestling team went 5-0 to win the title Saturday at the Mooresville 6-way duals. The Dragons had several undefeated wrestlers, as Jared Diep (106), Alec White (113), Cameron Diep (120), Jared Timberman (145), Eugene Starks (152) and Landan Burton (220) all had perfect 5-0 days. Wrestlers 2nd at Tech

The New Palestine wrestling team opened the season with a second-place finish at Saturday’s Tech Invitational. The Dragons had six individual champions. Chad Red Jr. was named MVP of the tournament at 132. Also winning were Alec White at 113, Cameron Diep at 120, Jalyn Wallace at 138, Jared Timberman at 145 and Eugene Starks at 152.

Boys basketball, swim teams to host sectional

The New Palestine boys basketball and swimming teams will host the sectional under the 2015-16 winter sports sectional assignments announced by the IHSAA earlier this month. 2 wrestlers named Academic All-State

Two New Palestine wrestlers were named to the Indiana Wrestling Coaches Association’s All-State team. Senior Sam Weber and junior Hunter Jones were named to the team. Both were key members of the Dragons’ varsity wrestling team and are outstanding students.
