Golfers compete against Noblesville

The New Palestine golf team competed against Noblesville Tuesday in a dual match at Hawk’s Tail, with the Dragons falling 165-184. Mackenzi Black shot 44 to lead the Dragons. Cassie Rooks shot 45, Abby Poole 47 and Peyton Hill 48. The Dragons (3-2) next play Wednesday against Beech Grove.

The New Palestine girls golf team set an 18-hole school record and won the New Palestine Invitational Saturday afternoon. Harp lifts golfers past Cards

Cassidy Harp earned her first varsity medalist honor, leading the Dragons to a victory over Southport Monday afternoon. Harp shot a 46 to lead the Dragons, who shot 191 as a team. Bailey Kamp added a 47, Kora Kropp a 48, and both Savana Rowe and Peyton Chester shot 50s.

The New Palestine girls golf team had a strong start to the season, shooting a 372 at Prairie View GC to finish seventh out of 21 teams in the Classic State Preview hosted by Center Grove. Prairie View is the State Finals course this year, and NP coach Gregg Greene said the course was set
