Advancing Day for Cross Country Runners

The Dragon Boys cross country team advanced to next Saturday’s regional at Rushville with a 5th place team finish led by Samuel Voelz with a 4th place finish in the 70 plus runner field.  Riley Wilson also had a strong run finishing 10th, while Chase Crowder 25th, Drew Legan 36th, and Ethan Westrate 47th rounded

3 all-HHC runners lead CC teams

The New Palestine Dragons had three all-conference runners from Saturady’s HHC meet at New Palestine. In the boys race, two Dragons placed all-conference. Sophomore Samuel Voelz  placed fourth with a time of 16:35. He was 23 seconds behind conference champion Aaron Rush of Mt. Vernon. Junior Riley Wilson was 17th with a time of 17:38.

Samuel Voelz was the individual champion and led the New Palestine boys cross country team to a second-place finish in the Madison Courier Invitational at Hanover.
