New Palestine junior Lauren Deering finished her season with an outstanding two days at the IHSAA girls golf State Finals. Deering finished with an 11-over par 155 over two days at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel. She shot a five-over 77 on Saturday - including a 37 on a back nine that included two birdies. That followed a 78 in Friday's first round, in which she was +3 on her last 15 holes.
