The New Palestine girls volleyball team pushed Yorktown to the limit Tuesday - building a lead midway through the fifth set as it looked for a reverse-sweep - but the Dragons eventually fell 25-19, 25-17, 20-25, 22-25, 15-10. Natalie Sevier had 21 kills and seven digs. Adelynn Crispin added a double-double with 12 kills and 17 digs. Sam Gooding also had a double-double with 49 assists and 11 digs. Hayden Ramsey had 12 kills and Caylee Brown nine. Azure Flagle led the Dragons' defense with 25 digs. The Dragons saw their 13-match winning streak snapped with the narrow defeat against one of the state's top teams. They are now 18-3 on the season. They next play Wednesday at home against Triton Central.
