Dozen roses: Volleyball beats New Castle on senior night

The New Palestine volleyball team extended its winning streak to a dozen matches Thursday, as it took command early and beat New Castle 25-10, 25-17, 25-16, improving to 16-2 on the season. Senior Natalie Sevier had a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs. She also had two aces. Senior Hayden Ramsey added 11 kills and three blocks. Caylee Brown had 10 kills on 15 attempts, with a .667 hitting percentage. Elena Cook had four kills and five digs, while Adelynn Crispin had eight kills and Cara Steele tallied six. Senior Sam Gooding added to her assists total, as she had 39 assists and four digs. Senior Azure Flagle led the defense with 13 digs. The Dragons JV also won to remain unbeaten. The Dragons next compete Monday at Franklin Central, beginning a run of four matches in four nights.
