The New Palestine girls volleyball team posted a big conference road win Tuesday, beating Delta 22-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-22, rallying from an eight-point deficit in the final set to seal the victory, with a 13-2 run to finish. Natalie Sevier had a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs. She also had three aces. Azure Flagle had 29 digs and three aces. Kennedy Armstrong added nine digs and two aces, while Sam Gooding also had nine digs to go along with 43 assists. Adelynn Crispin had four digs and two aces. Elena Cook had three digs and a kill. At the net, Hayden Ramsey had a big all-around game with 10 kills, six blocks, three aces and five digs. Cara Steele added 14 kills and three digs. Caylee Brown tallied eight kills. "We battled through some up and downs tonight," Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. "Delta had some tough servers that put us on our toes. When we passed well, our front row was unstoppable. Cara Steele had a career high 14 kills and was huge for us on the outside. Azure was making jaw dropping plays all night long. It’s just second nature for her. In the fourth set we were down 20-12 and had an amazing comeback to win 25-22. Really proud of my girls for not laying down and finishing the match in four sets." The Dragons are now 12-2 overall and 2-0 in HHC play. They next play Wednesday at home against Perry Meridian.
