Golf places seventh in HHC

The New Palestine boys golf team shot a solid front line, but struggled on the back Saturday at the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet. The Dragons shot 352 to finish seventh in the conference meet at The Players Club in Yorktown. The Dragons shot 164 on the front nine, but 188 on the back in the 18-hole tournament. Luke Cofer led the Dragons with an 86. Josiah Kissel added an 88, including a team-best 44 on the back nine. Alex Cofer also shot 88, with a team-best 38 on the front nine. Nick Barada added a 90. Landon Beaty's 95 was the fifth score. The Dragons are back in action Monday at Hawk's Tail against Greenfield-Central.
