Girls soccer blanks Marauders

The New Palestine girls soccer team jumped out to a four-goal lead at halftime Wednesday and rolled to a 5-0 victory at Mt. Vernon. Hannah Sund scored five minutes in to get the Dragons on the board. Gabbie Brown added another goal two and a half minutes later, heading in a cross from Hailey Pardieck. Addison Lindell scored on a free kick in the 12th minute to give the Dragons a 3-0 lead, then added a second goal in the 23rd minute. Sund scored a second-half goal - her second of the game and 25th of the season - to extend the lead. in the process, the Dragons claimed the HHC's traveling Victory Bell trophy. The Dragons are now 6-3 on the season and 4-1 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play. They are next in action Saturday afternoon at Whiteland.
