The New Palestine boys volleyball team controlled the match from the first serve Wednesday, beating Lawrence Central 25-12, 25-7, 25-15. The victory improved the Dragons' record to 9-11 on the season. Jake Cwikla had a big first set at the net, leading the Dragons to pull away to the victory. In the second set, the Dragons went through just three service rotations, as Aaron Smith served the first 11 points. Two rotations later, Daysen Wood served the set's final eight points, including five aces in the run. The Dragons gradually pulled away in the third set, capping it off with a kill from senior Ethan Fitzgerald.
