Tennis tames Golden Bears

The New Palestine boys tennis team won three straight-set matches to beat HHC foe Shelbyville 3-2 Thursday at home. Carson Rush won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles to clinch the match for the Dragons. Brock Hehmann won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, while Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles to help seal the victory. At No. 2 singles, Tyler Walter fell 6-1, 6-3, while Luke Bartusek/Gavin Berry dropped a 6-4, 6-2 match at No. 1 doubles. The Dragons are now 6-6 overall and 2-2 in HHC play. They are next in action Tuesday at home against Eastern Hancock.
