Girls golf wins at Brickyard Crossing

The New Palestine girls golf team had a solid day Thursday at Brickyard Crossing, shooting 176 to beat Avon (203) and Speedway (221). Lauren Deering shot an even-par 36 to lead the Dragons. Katie Kelley added a 40. Tessa Mohr and Matti Tiede-White each shot 50, while Carlee Poorbaugh's 54 was the fifth score. The Dragons are next in action Tuesday in the Hancock County meet at Hawk's Tail.
