Boys tennis beats Shenandoah

The New Palestine boys tennis team snapped a three-match skid Thursday, hitting the road to beat Shenandoah 3-2. Carson Rush won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Brock Hehmann posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles. Davis Harrison/Jack Hehmann won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles to give the Dragons their victories. Tyler Walter dropped a tight 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 match in a super-tiebreaker at No. 2 singles. Gavin Berry/Luke Bartusek fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1. The Dragons JV won 5-0, with Brady Groce, Jace Gaines, Sean Pearson, Jackson Clark/J.P. Peterson and James Perry/Jacob Kleine all winning. The Dragons are now 3-4 on the season. They next compete Saturday in the Noblesville Invitational.
