New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys soccer team blanked host Yorktown 5-0 Thursday in the Dragons' season opener. The Dragons led 1-0 at halftime, then exploded after the break, scoring twice in the first four minutes and adding two more goals to extend the lead. Colt Pratt earned the clean sheet in his first varsity start. Cole Christopher had a goal and two assists for the Dragons. Hector Medrano, Liam Day, Hudson Hughes and Paxton Holmes also scored. Noah Diaz de Leon had two assists. The Dragons (1-0) are next in action Saturday at Brownsburg.
