The New Palestine boys tennis team dropped a close 3-2 home match Wednesday to Whiteland. The Dragons earned a win at No. 1 singles, where Carson Rush won a third-set tiebreaker 6-1, 1-6, 7-6(4). At No. 2 doubles, Luke Bartusek/Gavin Berry won 6-1, 7-5. The Dragons dropped a tight match at No. 2 singles, where Tyler Walter fell 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. Brock Hehmann fell 6-1, 6-3 and the No. 1 doubles team of Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison lost 6-1, 6-0. The Dragons JV lost 5-0. The Dragons (1-1) are next in action Thursday at home against Yorktown.
