New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys tennis team won its season opener Monday, beating visiting Greensburg 5-0. All five Dragons victories came in straight sets. Carson Rush won 6-4, 6-2; Tyler Walter won 6-1, 6-1; and Brock Hehmann won 6-2, 6-3. Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison won 6-1, 6-2 and Luke Bartusek/Gavin Berry won 6-2, 6-3 at doubles. The Dragons JV won 4-0, with wins coming from Jack Hehmann, Jace Gaines, Sean Pearson and James Perry/Brady Groce. The Dragons are back in action Tuesday at home against Whiteland.
