New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls volleyball team opened its season Saturday with a convincing 25-19, 25-16, 25-16 victory over visiting Scecina. Hayden Ramsey led the way with 12 kills and five blocks. Natalie Sevier also had 12 kills. Caylee Brown and Cara Steele had seven kills each. Sam Gooding quarterbacked the attack with 33 assists and two aces. Azure Flagle added 17 digs. The Dragons are back in action Tuesday at home against Greenwood Christian.
