New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys golf team clinched a spot in the regional Tuesday, shooting 320 to finish second in the sectional at Hawk's Tail in Greenfield. The Dragons finished five strokes back of champion Mt. Vernon (315) and five strokes ahead of New Castle and Tri (325). The top three teams advance to Thursday's regional at The Players Club in Yorktown. New Castle advanced on a fifth-score tiebreaker. Luke Cofer finished second overall with a 74. Joey McPike shot 81, Will Clark 82 and Andrew Wooton 83. Josiah Kissel's 86 was the Dragons' fifth score.
