Golf fourth in conference

The New Palestine boys golf team shot 333 to finish fourth in Saturday's Hoosier Heritage Conference meet at The Players Club in Yorktown. Luke Cofer and Will Clark led the way for the Dragons, as each shot 80. Andrew Wooton added an 83, while Joey McPike shot 93. Cooper Hurst's 99 was the fifth score. Cofer and Clark tied for eighth overall. Pendleton Heights won the title with the fifth-score tiebreaker over Shelbyville, as each shot 315. Mt. Vernon was third with 327. The Dragons finished ahead of Yorktown (338), New Castle (340), Greenfield-Central (345) and Delta (354). The Dragons are back in action Tuesday at Hawk's Tail against Rushville.
