Golf repeats as county champ

The New Palestine boys golf team won its second straight Hancock County title Wednesday, shooting 160 to win a tight three-team battle for the trophy at Hawk's Tail. The Dragons nosed out Eastern Hancock (162) and Mt. Vernon (163). Greenfield-Central was fourth with 171. Luke Cofer was the individual county champion, winning a playoff after shooting an even-par 36. Will Clark shot 40, Joey McPike 41 and Josiah Kissel 43. Andrew Wooton's 44 was the fifth score. The Dragons are next in action Saturday at the Batesville Invitational at Hillcrest Country Club.
