New Palestine High School

The New Palestine softball team used a four-run fourth inning to take the lead and down Eastern Hancock 5-1 Monday at NPHS. Allie Blum hit a two-run homer to key the inning. Alyssa Mumaw also hit a solo homer for the Dragons. Kayla Bain doubled and scored, while Mumaw was 1-for-1 with two runs. Aglaia Rudd was 2-for-3 with a double. Sydney Oliver also scored a run. Courtney Study allowed four hits, one run and struck out five in the circle. The Dragons are next in action April 6 at home against Avon.
