The New Palestine boys volleyball team dropped its home opener Tuesday in a 25-17, 25-9, 25-19 decision to a powerful Southport squad. Dayson Wood led the Dragons with three kills and two blocks. Ely Martin had nine digs and Jake Cwikla three. Kameron Engle had nine assists. The Dragons (0-2) are back in action Thursday at Franklin.
