Track teams compete at Perry Meridian

The New Palestine track and field teams competed Thursday at Perry Meridian in a three-way meet with Greenwood. Because of scoring difficulties, team scores are currently not available. Each of the Dragons teams won 10 events. Winning for the Dragons boys were Paxton Holmes in the 110 hurdles (14.93) and 300 hurdles (41.81), Eli Wasson in the 100 (10.81) and 200 (23.12), Hayden Flanagan in the 1600 (5:01.81), Charlie Rigsbee in the 400 (52.32), Harrison Carr in the 3200 (10:56), Brock Sennott in the long jump (18-10) Colton Spears in the high jump (5-10) and the 4x800 relay (8:57.69) Finishing second were Ethan Kihiu in the 1600, Dylan Dragoo in the 400, Will Bardonner in the 300 hurdles, Gavin Smith in the 800, Colton Spears in the 200, Zion Koch in the 3200, Landon Seib in shot put, Rudy Hubbard in the long jump and Quinn Crawmer in pole vault, Winning for the Dragons girls were Evelyn Kell in the 1600 (6:03.44), Abby Journay in the 400 (1:01.64) and 200 (26.5), Taylor Burke in the 300 hurdles (51.29), Bre Journay in the 800 (2:34.59), Heidi Bloomer in the 3200 (13:20), Rylee Hurst in the long jump (15-1), Savannah Baird in pole vault (8-6), the 4x400 relay (4:27.84) and the 4x800 relay (10:56.21). Finishing second for the Dragons girls were Burke in the 100 hurdles, Caylee Brown in the 300 hurdles, Taylor Stone in the 3200, Abby Journay in high jump and Lilly Madden in pole vault.
