Tennis outlasts Triton Central

The New Palestine girls tennis team outlasted a tough Triton Central squad 3-2, as three of the five varsity matches went the distance. The Dragons' singles posted the first two wins, as No. 2 Arabella Deiser won 6-0, 6-2, while Kaitlyn Mitchell posted a 6-0, 6-3 victory. The Dragons clinched the match at No. 1 doubles, when Maizy Haynes/Riley Watts rallied to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 1 singles, Bethany Blachly fell 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in a tight match. At No. 2 doubles, Alyssa Beller/Addison Ballard dropped a 7-6(7), 3-6, 6-1 decision. The Dragons are now 2-0 on the season. They are back in action Wednesday at Roncalli.
