New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys golf team opened its season Saturday with a pair of invitational appearances. The Dragons took their top five varsity players to The Players Club for the Yorktown Invitational. They shot 350 to finish 16th out of 21 teams. Luke Cofer led the Dragons with an 81. Joey McPike added an 85, Will Clark 90 and Jackson Clark 94. Luke Appleby's 100 was the fifth score. The Dragons took another team to Foxcliff for the Martinsville Artesian Classic. Cooper Hurst led the Dragons with a 79. Josiah Kissel added an 80, Andrew Wooton an 88 and Seth Stephenson a 91. Brady Torzewski's 98 was the fifth score. The Dragons are next in action Tuesday at Hawk's Tail against Greenfield-Central and Whiteland.
