New Palestine High School

Senior Julius Gizzi was one of 12 players named to the Indiana All-Star boys basketball team Friday morning. Gizzi averaged 25.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this season, and finishes his career as New Palestine's leader in career (1,821) and single-season (810) points. He holds three of the top 10 single-game scoring performances, too. Gizzi helped lead the Dragons to a 26-4 record this season and their third straight sectional title. The Dragons also won their first-ever regional title and advanced to the 3A final four. Gizzi is the third basketball Indiana All-Star in NPHS history. He joins John Allison (1998), and his mother, Sarah Haynes (1994).
