Fee fourth on floor, gymnastics finishes seventh at State Finals

The New Palestine gymnastics team posted a score of 106.775 and finished seventh out of nine teams in Saturday's IHSAA State Finals at Worthen Arena in Muncie. Fort Wayne Dwenger won the state title (112.975), with Valparaiso (111.7) second and Angola (108) third. J.J. Fee led the Dragons, finishing tied for fourth on floor with a 9.275 score. Lynzie Stiller was 20th (9.025) and Kalle Jones tied for 28th (8.75). On balance beam, Stiller was the Dragons' highest finisher, tying for 23rd (8.75). Lexi Hall and Jones tied for 27th (8.65). On uneven bars, Fee tied for 16th (9.025) and Hall finished 18th (9.0). Stiller was 21st (8.9). On vault, Stiller finished in a 21st-place tie (9.15). Hall was 24th (9.1) and Fee 41st (8.5). Stiller finished 15th in the all-around (33.825). Hall was 20th (35.45) and Fee 25th (34.775). The Dragons finished their best season in school history with a strong day at the State Finals.
