Gymnastics wins Rushville Invitational title

The New Palestine gymnastics team won Saturday's six-team Rushville Invitational, scoring 99.7 points. The Dragons outscored Westfield (97.0), Rushville (93.75), Morristown (85.925), Shelbyville (70.15) and Muncie Central (67.525). Lynzie Stiller was the individual champion on floor exercise, scoring 9.425. Olivia Frank was second (8.8) and Reagan Seal fifth (8.425). The Dragons had four place on vault, with Frank second (8.575), Stiller fourth (8.525), Rebecca Johnson fifth (8.45) and Chaira Polo sixth (8.4). On uneven bars, Addy Kendall finished second (8.05), Stiller fourth (7.875), Johnson seventh (6.925) and Polo and Frank tied for eighth (6.85). Kendall was second on balance beam (8.5), with Polo fifth (8.225) and Reagan Seal seventh (7.925). Stiller finished third in the all-around (32.725), with Frank sixth (31.45), Polo seventh (31.175) and Seal ninth (30.35). The Dragons are next in action Wednesday at The Gymnastics Company against Franklin Central and Muncie Central.
