Gymnastics sets mark on Senior Night

The New Palestine gymnastics team celebrated its seniors and won its final regular-season meet Thursday. The Dragons scored a season-best 107.425, beating Kokomo (35.275) and Pendleton Heights (30.9), both of which brought incomplete teams. J.J. Fee won the all-around with a score of 36.475, with Lexi Hall second (35.7), Olivia Frank fourth (33.475), Kalle Jones fifth (33.3) and Lynzie Stiller sixth (32.625). Fee won on floor (9.575), with Stiller (9.25), Hall (9.15), Jones (8.95) and Frank (8.85) taking the top five spots. Ella Mattingly (8.175) was seventh and Kayla Marshall (8.1) eighth. Fee won on balance beam with a 9.375. Hall placed third (8.975), Jones fourth (8.4) and Frank sixth (7.675). Fee also won on vault (9.25), with Hall (8.8), Frank (8.7) and Stiller (8.6) rounding out the top four. Stiller was second on bars (8.9), with Hall third (8.775), Fee fourth (8.275), Frank fifth (8.25) and Jones sixth (7.575). The Dragons next compete March 1 in the sectional at Connersville.
