Gymnastics wins Bloomington North Invitational

The New Palestine gymnastics team continued its strong season by posting a season-high score of 106.875 Saturday to win the Bloomington North Valentine's Invitational. The Dragons outscored the hosts, who had 105.925. Seymour (98.5) and Edgewood (96.35) rounded out the top four. Lexi Hall won two events and was second in the all-around to lead the Dragons. J.J. Fee set a school record on the floor exercise, scoring 9.475. On vault, Hall won with a 9.275. Lynzie Stiller was fourth (8.9), Olivia Frank fifth (8.75), Chiara Polo seventh (8.675) and J.J. Fee eighth (8.6). On uneven bars, Hall also won with a 9.025. Fee was fourth (8.375), Stiller fifth (8.05), Frank sixth (7.925) and Polo 12th (7.075). On balance beam, Kalle Jones was second (9.05), with Hall fourth (8.725), Stiller fifth (8.625), Fee seventh (8.5) and Frank 12th (8.025). On floor, Fee was second (9.475), with Hall third (9.325), Stiller fifth (9.25), Frank eighth (8.875) and Jones 11th (8.65). Hall finished second in the all-around (36.35), with Fee third (34.95), Stiller fourth (34.875) and Frank seventh (33.675). The Dragons are next in action Thursday at home against Morristown.
