Gymnastics wins on senior night

The New Palestine gymnastics team won a four-way meet Tuesday on the Dragons' senior night. The Dragons tallied 102.825 points to beat Guerin Catholic (58.325), Lutheran (55.3) and Noblesville (44.4). J.J. Fee won three events and the all-around, winning on bars, beam and floor. Lynzie Stiller won vault. Fee tallied 35.25 in the all-around, with Stiller (34.175) finishing second. Addy Kendall (32.425) was fourth and Olivia Frank (31.925) fifth. On floor, Fee won (9.35), with Stiller second (9.2), Frank fourth (8.725) and Kendall sixth (8.125). On beam, Fee was the winner with a 9.05 score. Stiller was third (8.275), Kendall fourth (8.25), Chaira Polo fifth (8.025) and Frank sixth (7.2). On bars, Fee won her third event (8.575), with Stiller third (8.15), Kendall fourth (8.125) and Frank fifth (7.7). On vault, Stiller won with a score of 8.55. Frank was third (8.3), Fee fourth (8.275), Emily Hunter fifth (8.175) and Rebecca Johnson sixth (8.15). The Dragons are next in action Saturday at the Rushville Invitational.
