Gymnastics wins at New Castle

The New Palestine gymnastics team swept a three-way meet Saturday at New Castle, tallying 102.75 points to beat the host Trojans (98.25) and Muncie Central (58.525). The Dragons took the top three spots in the all-around, with J.J. Fee scoring 35.375 to win. Lynzie Stiller was second (34.325) and Olivia Frank third (32.525). Chiara Polo was fifth (30.9) and Reagan Seal sixth (30.55). Fee won the balance beam with a score of 8.75, with Stiller second (8.65). Fee also won the floor exercise (9.3), with Stiller finishing second (9.025), Frank fourth (8.55) and Seal fifth (8.125). On uneven bars, Fee finished second (8.7), Stiller third (8.225), Frank fourth (8.125) and Polo fifth (7.35). On vault, Polo finished fourth (8.7), with Fee and Rebecca Johnson tying for fifth (8.625). The Dragons are now 6-1 on the season. They next compete Thursday at Roncalli.
