New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys wrestling team went 2-3 Saturday afternoon at the Henry Wilk Invitational at Penn. The Dragons opened the day with a 60-18 loss to Homestead. They beat Fort Wayne Snider 46-28 in the second match before falling 46-32 to Penn. In the fourth match, the Dragons beat Goshen 52-30, and they fell 40-33 to Mishawaka in a close last match. Gunner Butt and Bryce Doss went 5-0 on the day. Colin Whetsel was 4-1, but went 4-0 at 215 and wrestled one match at heavyweight. The Dragons next compete Dec. 27-28 in the Mater Dei Holiday Classic.
