New Palestine High School

June Wagner-Gilbert led the New Palestine girls wrestling team in The Gobbler invitational Saturday at Lawrence Central. Wagner-Gilbert finished second at 130, winning two matches by fall and one by a 4-1 decision before a 1-0 loss to Attica's Joslyn Barnett in the final. Every Dragon who competed placed. Calie Means was fourth at 115. Bellamy Reardon finished fifth at 135. Carmie Kelle was sixth at 140. Also finishing sixth was Miranda LaRoche at 190. Jillian Champ was seventh at 140. Julia Champ (155) and Elizabeth Champ (145) both placed eighth. The Dragons next compete Dec. 11 in a dual meet against Greenfield-Central.
