Sydney DeLois won the 120-pound title Saturday at the Ben Davis Girls Wrestling Invitational. DeLois won with three first-period falls, pinning Purdue Poly's Jasmine Knolwes in 19 seconds, Warren Central's Nakeeya Riley in 1:15 and Muncie Central's Lorraine Farley in 1:12, the latter in the championship match. It was DeLois' second invitational championship of the season. She also won the title at Southport. Two other Dragons finished fourth. At 145, Madisyn Covington finished fourth. She won her first match by fall in 57 seconds, but was pinned in the quarterfinal. She then won by two falls and an injury default to advance to the third place match. Julia Champ was fourth in the 160-170 weight class. At 132, Jillian Champ dropped both of her matches. The Dragons are next in action Wednesday with a dual meet against Greenfield-Central.
