Girls basketball dominates Delta

The New Palestine girls basketball team posted another dominant Hoosier Heritage Conference victory Saturday, beating host Delta 75-41. The Dragons outscored the Eagles 21-3 in the second quarter to break the game open. Isabella Gizzi scored 22 points to lead the Dragons, marking her seventh consecutive game with 20 or more points. Allie Blum added a career-high 21 points. Vivian Miller also tallied a career high with 18 points. Tylar Whitaker added eight points and Kylee Beranek four. Natalie Sevier added her first two varsity points. The Dragons are now 6-3 on the season after their fifth straight victory. They are 2-0 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference. They next play Tuesday at Shelbyville, with a 6 p.m. JV tipoff.
