The New Palestine girls volleyball team dropped its regular season finale Thursday at Mt. Vernon. The Dragons won the first set, but fell 20-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-16. Josie Corbett had seven kills, six digs and four aces in a strong all-around performance. Hayden Ramsey added 10 kills, two blocks and three aces. Caylee Brown tallied nine kills, while Elena Cook added four. Sam Gooding had 33 assists. Azure Flagle led the defense with 17 digs and three assists. Natalie Sevier added 11 digs and six kills. Makaeli Johnson tallied eight digs. The Dragons finish the regular season 27-4 and 4-3 in HHC play. They open sectional play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Roncalli against Greenwood.
