Boys tennis wins regional opener

The New Palestine boys tennis team won a tight 3-2 match over New Castle in Tuesday's regional semifinal at Mt. Vernon. The Dragons won three straight-set matches. Brady Torzweski won a 6-0, 6-0 match at No. 3 singles, while Moses Haynes/Max Havel also won 6-0, 6-0 at No, 1 doubles. Carson Rush/Andrew Hahn won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 1 singles, Arjomand Khokhar dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision. Joey McPike fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. The Dragons are now 17-3 on the season. They compete against No. 21 Fishers at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the regional championship match.
