Tylar Whitaker scored twice, leading the New Palestine girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Greenfield-Central Wednesday evening at NPHS. Whitaker gave the Dragons an early lead in the sixth minute on an assist from Nevaeh Gebhart. The Dragons maintained a one-goal lead throughout the contest, before Whitaker broke through again in the 74th minute to double the advantage. On the second goal, she stole an errant pass and sailed a 30-yard shot over the Greenfield-Central goalkeeper's head. Ady Eakin and the Dragons' back line earned the clean sheet. The Dragons improved to 8-2 on the season and 5-1 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play. They next play Saturday at Cathedral in a game that will be played at FC Pride.
