New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls soccer team had a strong match Monday at No. 11 Center Grove, falling 1-0. The teams played an even game throughout, as the Dragons pressured the Trojans early and generated a number of chances, and continued to press throughout the game. In the 77th minute, the Dragons were called for a handball in the box. Center Grove converted from the spot for the game's only goal. The Dragons nearly had the equalizer in the final minute, but CG cleared a ball off the line. The Dragons are now 7-3 overall. They next play Wednesday at home against Greenfield-Central.
