The New Palestine volleyball team improved to 17-0 on the season, winning a long three-set match in the championship tilt to beat Scecina 25-21, 23-25, 17-15. The Dragons' victory over Scecina was their third over the Crusaders this season. Hayden Ramsey had 14 kills in the match. Natalie Sevier added eight kills. Caylee Brown and Josie Corbett tallied seven each. Sam Gooding tallied 33 assists. In pool play, the Dragons beat Chatard 25-19, 25-13, as Azure Flagle tallied 13 digs. Ramsey had 10 kills and Sevier seven. The Dragons then downed Decatur Central 25-10, 25-13. Ramsey had seven kills and two aces. Flagle tallied 11 digs. Kyndra Monteith added five digs. The Dragons, ranked No. 5 in Class 3A, next play Tuesday at home against Delta.
