New Palestine High School

The No. 26 New Palestine boys tennis team dropped a tight 3-2 match to No. 27 Chatard Thursday afternoon on the road. The Dragons swept the doubles, as Moses Haynes/Max Havel won 6-0, 6-0 and Andrew Hahn/Jesse Isaacs won 6-2, 6-2. At singles, Arjomand Khokhar fell 6-0, 6-1 to a player ranked as one of the top in the Midwest in his age group. Joey McPike fell 6-1, 6-2 and Carson Rush dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to two undefeated players. The Dragons JV won 5-0, with Joel Dorval, Tyler Walter, Brock Hehmann, Luke Bartusek, Marcos Fernandez, Davis Harrison and Brady Groce all winning. The Dragons are back in action at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the NPHS tennis courts for the Hancock County meet.
