New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team beat Shelbyville 198-221 Thursday at The Links. Matti Tiede-White won medalist honors with a 43. Janie Hamilton added a 48, while Tessa Mohr shot 51 and Libby Hunter a personal-best 56. Also scoring for the Dragons were Jozlynn Hart's 58, Elise Weimer's 59, a 60 from Haidyn Lavish and 66 from Erika Kauchak. The Dragons are next in action Saturday in the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet at Albany Golf Club, where they will seek to defend their conference title.
