The New Palestine boys tennis team improved to 4-0 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference Thursday with a 4-1 victory at Shelbyville. The Dragons had to pull out two three-set matches at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Moses Haynes/Max Havel played the longest match of the night, winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, while Arjomand Khokhar had a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 victory at singles. At No. 2 singles, Joey McPike posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Andrew Hahn/Carson Rush won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 singles, Brady Torzewski was leading 5-0 in the first set when he suffered an injury and had to default the match. The Dragons JV also won 5-0. The Dragons are now 9-1 on the season. They next play Wednesday at home against Lawrence Central.
