The New Palestine boys soccer team won its home opener Thursday, blanking Yorktown 1-0. Cole Christopher's pressure caused the lone goal - an own goal by Yorktown. Jake Wells had the clean sheet in goal. "We bounced back after that tough loss on Tuesday," Dragons coach Juan Diaz De Leon said. "Great minutes by our supporting bench cast." The victory was Diaz De Leon's first varsity coaching win. The Dragons (1-1, 1-0 HHC) are next in action Saturday morning against Brownsburg.
