Tennis wins opener over Royals

The New Palestine boys tennis team rolled in its season opener Saturday at Eastern Hancock, winning 4-1 over the host Royals. The Dragons swept the singles, with Arjomand Khokhar winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1. Joey McPike won 7-6, 7-5 at No. 2, while Brady Torzewski picked up where he left off last season, winning 6-0, 6-2. Moses Haynes/Max Havel won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Tyler Wilson/Carson Rush were leading 5-1 in the first set when they had to injury default. The Dragons' JV won 5-0. The Dragons are back in action today at Greensburg.
