New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team won its first triangular meet of the year Tuesday, shooting 167 to beat Franklin Central (188) and Greenfield-Central (225) at Smock Golf Course. Lauren Deering was match medalist with a 39. Katie Kelley added a 40, while Lily Kirchner shot 42 and Janie Hamilton 46. Elise Weimer added a 56 and Haidyn Lavish a 62. The Dragons are now 2-0 and next play Thursday at home against Noblesville.
