New Palestine High School

The New Palestine golf team finished fourth at Saturday's regional at Edgewood Golf Club in Anderson, coming within four strokes of a State Finals appearance. The Dragons shot 369 to finish fourth. Hamilton Southeastern (306) won the regional title, while Noblesville (318) was second and Delta (365) third. The top three teams advance to the State Finals. The Dragons finished ahead of Fishers (378), Park Tudor (388), Cathedral (390) and eight other teams. Lauren Appleby led the Dragons with an 88, shooting 43 on the front nine and 45 on the back. Zoe Nelson also shot 43 on the front and finished with an 89. Lily Kirchner shot 95 and Katie Kelley 97. Hanna Beller's 104 was the fifth score. The Dragons finished a strong season with the county and sectional championships, as well as the title at the New Palestine Invitational.
