The New Palestine tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to Mt. Vernon in Wednesday's opening round of the Mt. Vernon sectional. The Dragons finish the season with a 9-7 mark. Kaitlyn Mitchell fell 6-0, 6-1, Bethany Blachly dropped a 6-1, 6-2 and Maizy Haynes a 6-4, 6-2 decision at singles. At doubles, Josephine Harvey/Emily Appleby lost 6-0, 6-0 and Amelia Schneider/Riley Watts fell 6-0, 6-3.
